Well we ended up timing the weekend perfect. Saturday morning, after raining all night the snow began to fall. Oakley and Cedar are going nuts. I don't know how much snow for sure but at our house it seems like more than 7 inches. It has snowed all day. We are now in a winter wonderland and are decorating the tree in a little while. Pat worked all day and has been shoveling snow for about an hour.

I love this pic of Oakley, he looks like the sand people on Star Wars. All the kids were real troupers. No one complained at all, the candy must have made it all worth it. I was going to post the pic with Nancy in it but I didn't take this nice of a pic. We could't see through the lens, and I cut some of the heads off. These guys are from sunny California and the whole family braved the weather. They are so much fun.
After all that we had done Friday, we still had the Parade of Lights that night. It was cold and was pouring rain. Pat stayed home and the kids and I went with friends, Steve, Nancy, Danielle and Jennifer. It was a great parade but I didn't get many photos cause of the rain. The kids came home with about 5 lbs of candy it was almost as much as Halloween. We got to wave to Santa and Mrs. Clause at the end of the parade and it was really nice for the kids.
I have never posted a pic of Grandma Cynda's creative talent. She made this beautiful cabin and does such an amazing job. The inside is all decorated and looks ready to move in. She even made a quilt for the little bed and has family pictures on the wall. She is so talented and her houses have all been so amazing.
After we got our tree we had another Thanksgiving dinner and Pat's mom and dads. Grandma Cynda looked so pretty and had been cooking and working hard for 2 days. The dinner was great, and we got to visit with Great Great Grandma Palmer, Great Grandma Jeanne, Bill and Cheryl ( they are Pat's aunt and uncle) .
Mariah and Cedar made another gingerbread house this year and they did a beautiful job. They were busy with this for quite a while. Mariah mixed up some frosting and food coloring and they made the decorations pretty fancy. They figured they should eat it right after they got done so it wouldn't get hard. Great job you girls. It was very pretty and yummy!
Thanksgiving was wonderful this year we went to my mom and dad's at about 10am on Thursday and the whole day was a blast. The food was great and everyone was stuffed, of course. Mom always makes the butter into the shape of a turkey, this is her day to shine as the hostess and as a sculptor. I can't believe how much I love my family. Thank you for being my parents and being such amazing, wonderful, incredible, loving, beautiful, fun, well I could go on and on and on but I mostly want you to know I love you both SO MUCH! THANK YOU.
The weekend before Thanksgiving we had a dog who kept hanging around and we couldn't get her to go so she ended up staying over night 3 nights. On Monday, Pat took her to the vet and they found a microchip and we found her mom and dad. Her name was Pebbles, our dogs sure did have fun with her and she was a sweet dog.
