I forgot I wanted to post this pic of me and Cedar. This was when we were at the stock car races. I just loved this pic and figured it needed to be on my blog.

To finish the evening we made smores and sat around our new fire pit. What do you think of it Misty? Since we were in Hermiston, Pat couldn't stop thinking about our fire pit, we love it.

I love you both so much! Thanks for the fun.

...she hit the road, to get some real action.

Mom was just getting her speed up then.......

Zoom, Zoom dad.

Dad and Mom came over to play and have dinner. The kids convinced them to try out my bike. It was so fun to watch them both. You really don't ever forget how to ride a bike. Oakley and Cedar think Grandpa and Grandma are so cool, because they aren't afraid to play, be silly and to just have fun. I just wanted to post these pics because I don't have any pictures of these guys riding bikes. I know you will love this post mom!

Cedar is flying again with Jacque again. I think in June I posted a pic of him throwing her in the air, at least this time he has a hold of her. She loves him.

Here we are again at the stock car races. The kids were just playing around. I can't help but post pics of the kids. I just love them!

Fun bike riding. The kids are trying to get better at riding on the gravel.

At the opening of Lariat ( I spelled this wrong before, oops!) someone put some paper and some questions to fill in. The paper was old and damp but pretty cool all the people who had been in the cave. I think the names went back to 2004. We had a great adventure this day and we are so happy we were with Mom and Dad. I know the kids won't forget this and it was so fun being so adventurous. We love you Grandpa and Grandma and wouldn't trade this time with you for anything.

Here we are after we finished going through Lariet. The kids look pretty funny cause of the bright light of the flash.
Posted by Picasa

Grandma finally gets to stand up, we just came out of that hole behind her on the right.
Posted by Picasa

This is a different cave called Lariet Cave. It was a bit harder to get around in. This part where Mariah is, was the only place she could stand up, we had to be stooped down and watch our heads. It seems a little clausterphobic, but it wasn't that bad. The kids loved it and Oakley led us through it, he loved the caves.

When we took these pics in the cave I couldn't even see if I had these guys in the pic. It was so dark, but when my flash went off we could see more than we ever did while we were there.
Posted by Picasa

...here we are in the cave. We thought it looked like we were in the stomach of a dinosaur. Doesn't it kind of look like the backbone and ribs.

The opening to Bear Trap Cave.
Posted by Picasa

When we drove on to Bear Trap Cave the desert was all black. The firefighters were right at the opening of the cave we were going too. They said the fire had started at 4am that morning and it was most likely from lightning.

Grandma looking down to us to make sure we were all safe. Mom you are so cute!
Posted by Picasa

The kids heading into the cave. It was mostly blocked off to the public so we just went in a little way.

Check out this cute little cotton tail. He sat so still and I was able to get really close. Just in case you don't notice.... Look at the wasp right above the bunny's back. I thought it was cool that I got him in the pic. Mariah thought it was cool that while I was taking a pic of that wasp this bunny got in the photo.(Ha!)

Hanging out in the tree.
Posted by Picasa

These trees were probably planted by my Grandpa and grandma. They ran the Crystal Ice Caves for maybe ten years or so, and they worked really hard to make it a beautiful place for all the people to travel that far to see.

There used to be a trail that you could walk down into the King's Bowl, but now they say it isn't safe and they have it blocked off.
Posted by Picasa

This is called the King's Bowl. It is right in the Great Rift, which is a crack in the earth's crust that runs for a long way across Idaho, not very technical I don't know how long it is but this is all in the Craters of the Moon National Park. When Dad and Mom first got married they went with friends and tied a rope ladder over the edge of this and went down. You used to be able to see their initials on the edge of the cliff, but it has weathered away.

Well I think that gets me caught up. I have been really surprised how fast the summer has flown by. Thursday I have to register the kids to start school and then there is only about 3 weeks left. We have had a wonderful summer so far and been able to do some exiting things. Hey I just remembered I had some more photos to post Monday the 7th we went with my mom and dad and took Mariah with us Pat had to work so he didn't make it, but we went out to go in some caves and look at the lava beds. I will post some of that now.

Mariah and Maddie spent the night so they played a New kind of Twister called Twister Moves. This really got them moving in the morning.

Little Glamour Girls. Maddie and Cedar did their hair and makeup and posed for us. whoo hoo! They really know how to pose!

This is a view of the Tetons. We are just driving past and usually there are to many clouds you can't see them. Even though this is blurry I still think it is beautiful.
Posted by Picasa

This Elk was right near the road and the game wardens directed traffic. He is BIG. We saw quite a few elk and alot of Bison. It was a wonderful trip through the park.

This water fall is called the Lower Falls of the Yellowstone River. We had never been to this outlook before. To get here we had to walk down over 400 stairs and a few switchbacks which took us 500 feet down into the canyon. The view was incredible! If only I could have the sound on this post. That was my favorite thing, that amount of water is so hard to believe and so powerful. In this pic you may be able to see the overlook that is in the top right hand side, it is called the Brink of the falls. We have been to it and that is amazing also.

We took a trip into Yellowstone Park and I have a couple pics to share. This was called the Churning Cauldron. It would boil up as tall as Oakley and it was so smelly. We did not want to breath in, because it smelled so much like rotten eggs.

The Adams Family standing on the lookout to Mesa Falls.

This is a place called Big Springs. The water is so crystal clear you feel like drinking it. From this bridge you can see Huge!! fish and we fed them bread, but as you can see the Seagulls loved it so we had to squish the bread and try to get it to sink so the fish could get to it before the birds.

Cedar fell asleep at the table while we were playing a card game called Crap on your neighbor (or we call it screw your neighbor, just thought it wasn't that good to have the kids saying that to all there friends.). We just had too much fun and she didn't want to miss out and go to bed. She still wanted to be a part of the action.

Hanging out at the fire pit. cutie pies.

This is a Huge fireplace in Yellowstone. Just thought we ought to get more pics of the kids.

We drove into West Yellowstone to visit the Book Peddler and get a few souvenirs. The kids ordered these YUMMY cream drinks but they froze with the air conditioning.

We went to Island Park with our friends. The first night it was just Pat, me, Oakley and Cedar. It was so nice there. We drove the 4-wheelers and the motorcycles and then spent the evening playing Yahtzee. I loved how nice and cool it got in the evening, what a beautiful place. So we woke up and played around again, Pat did a little staining on the deck and the kids and I painted a throwing game that Brennan had built. It was really fun and then we just hung out till everyone else could get there. Posted by Picasa

I took another pic of these to see how nice they look I loved the different colors they all are. Good job Cedar Pie!

At the end of the school year, Cedar planted these little seeds in a dixie cup and they grew into these beautiful flowers. She took great care of them and was so excited when they finally bloomed. She would mention them almost every morning and grab a glass of water and go feed them. I thought it was so sweet that she remembered them and got so excited watching them grow.

We went to Grandma's Birthday dinner and had yummy food. Then Cedar and I tried to beat Grandma and Oakley at a mean game of pool. Really fun!

Here goes Mariah and Cedar.

The girls rode the horses while Oakley and Zack were rock climbing.
Posted by Picasa

This part was the best!
Posted by Picasa

Still more fair activities.... Oakley climbed the rock wall and did great, I don't know how high it was but it looked pretty hard. This was a really great experience. Oakley definatly wants to do this again!
Posted by Picasa

Whoa!!!
Posted by Picasa

Oakley and Zack tried mechanical bull riding and they both did pretty good. The guy went pretty easy on them but he still gave them a good ride. Ride-em-cowboy!

Here we are at the Founders day activities at the fair grounds. We had just been to the parade and then they had food and games to play. It was 100 degrees and we were hot and sweaty.
