Us and the World.....

Well we ended up timing the weekend perfect. Saturday morning, after raining all night the snow began to fall. Oakley and Cedar are going nuts. I don't know how much snow for sure but at our house it seems like more than 7 inches. It has snowed all day. We are now in a winter wonderland and are decorating the tree in a little while. Pat worked all day and has been shoveling snow for about an hour.  Posted by Picasa

I love this pic of Oakley, he looks like the sand people on Star Wars. All the kids were real troupers. No one complained at all, the candy must have made it all worth it. I was going to post the pic with Nancy in it but I didn't take this nice of a pic. We could't see through the lens, and I cut some of the heads off. These guys are from sunny California and the whole family braved the weather. They are so much fun. Posted by Picasa

After all that we had done Friday, we still had the Parade of Lights that night. It was cold and was pouring rain. Pat stayed home and the kids and I went with friends, Steve, Nancy, Danielle and Jennifer. It was a great parade but I didn't get many photos cause of the rain. The kids came home with about 5 lbs of candy it was almost as much as Halloween. We got to wave to Santa and Mrs. Clause at the end of the parade and it was really nice for the kids. Posted by Picasa

I have never posted a pic of Grandma Cynda's creative talent. She made this beautiful cabin and does such an amazing job. The inside is all decorated and looks ready to move in. She even made a quilt for the little bed and has family pictures on the wall. She is so talented and her houses have all been so amazing.  Posted by Picasa

Oakley always plays pool with Grandpa and Grandma. He is getting pretty good.  Posted by Picasa

After we got our tree we had another Thanksgiving dinner and Pat's mom and dads. Grandma Cynda looked so pretty and had been cooking and working hard for 2 days. The dinner was great, and we got to visit with Great Great Grandma Palmer, Great Grandma Jeanne, Bill and Cheryl ( they are Pat's aunt and uncle) . Posted by Picasa

Sweet dreams. Posted by Picasa

Tree hunting is very hard work. Posted by Picasa

There it is. We are so excited to see how it looks at our house. Posted by Picasa

We found our tree! Posted by Picasa

Friday morning we met with some friends and went on the great Christmas Tree Hunt. The weather was perfect. Pat and I have never had a tree that we cut ourselves, so we thought it would be fun for us and the kids to go pick out our own.  Posted by Picasa

These two are my favorite guys in the world. They really look alike in this pic. Cuties. Posted by Picasa

Then Pat had him foaming at the mouth. Bren had filled Oakley's mouth totally full of whipped topping, so Pat thought Bren ought to try it out. You still look kinda cool Bren. This was really funny. Posted by Picasa

Brennan is looking pretty cool here. He thought he was the yahtzee master. Posted by Picasa

Mariah and Cedar made another gingerbread house this year and they did a beautiful job. They were busy with this for quite a while. Mariah mixed up some frosting and food coloring and they made the decorations pretty fancy. They figured they should eat it right after they got done so it wouldn't get hard. Great job you girls. It was very pretty and yummy! Posted by Picasa

Thanksgiving was wonderful this year we went to my mom and dad's at about 10am on Thursday and the whole day was a blast. The food was great and everyone was stuffed, of course. Mom always makes the butter into the shape of a turkey, this is her day to shine as the hostess and as a sculptor. I can't believe how much I love my family. Thank you for being my parents and being such amazing, wonderful, incredible, loving, beautiful, fun, well I could go on and on and on but I mostly want you to know I love you both SO MUCH! THANK YOU. Posted by Picasa

The weekend before Thanksgiving we had a dog who kept hanging around and we couldn't get her to go so she ended up staying over night 3 nights. On Monday, Pat took her to the vet and they found a microchip and we found her mom and dad. Her name was Pebbles, our dogs sure did have fun with her and she was a sweet dog. Posted by Picasa

I thought I better post one other pic. This is the view in front of our house. The moon looked so big and it was a cold morning just before I got the kids to school.  Posted by Picasa

This is JJ and Kim with their beautiful little girl, I think her name is Kaylin Renae, she is 9 days old in this pic. You guys look so great! Posted by Picasa

Here is a pic of some friends, we went to eat and watch Ultimate fighting. I couldn't believe it, I ended up enjoying it but man it is a brutal sport.  Posted by Picasa

Here is Cedar. Posted by Picasa

Here are our normal fall pics of the kids laying in a pile of leaves. Oakley played in them later in the evening so the colors weren't bright like when Cedar was in them. I think they look so cute anyway. Happy Fall! Posted by Picasa

Oakley and Cedar are practicing shredding paper so they will be ready for Christmas. Montana loves playing in this kind of mess too. Posted by Picasa
